 Nelson Alcalde founded the enterprise in 2001. Since then he has been a consultant to numerous companies who serve, or seek to serve, the Federal government in real estate, facilities management, security and other contract services. Mr. Alcalde has more than 30 years of experience in government affairs and commercial real estate management.
From January 1994 until January 2001, Mr. Alcalde served as a senior executive in the Clinton Administration. The majority of his tenure was as Regional Administrator, General Services Administration (GSA), National Capital Region. In that capacity, Mr. Alcalde was responsible for an annual budget of more than two billion dollars, an eighty-five million square foot commercial real estate portfolio, one of the nation's largest telecommunications and information technology infrastructures, and a substantial administrative organization.
From April 2000 until January 2001, Mr. Alcalde also served as Chief of Staff, Community Empowerment Board (CEB), Office of the Vice President. In the White House, Mr. Alcalde directed the CEB staff, led the Southwest Border Task Force Initiative and assisted in Hispanic outreach efforts for Vice President Gore.
From 1986 to 1993, Mr. Alcalde was in commercial property management, working for firms including the Charles E. Smith Companies, the largest developer, owner and manager of commercial real estate in the Washington metropolitan area. In that capacity, Mr. Alcalde's responsibilities included financial and operational management of office building portfolios, tenant leasing services and client liaison.
Prior to his work in the field of commercial property management, Mr. Alcalde served as legislative assistant to Congressman Bill Alexander (AR), Chief Deputy Majority Whip of the House of Representatives.
Mr. Alcalde also serves his community as a search and rescue pilot in the Civil Air Patrol, Virginia Wing.
Mr. Alcalde holds a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of a Maryland.
